Chipstack

Terms of Service

Effective 6 October 2026 · Last updated 6 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Chipstack. By creating an account you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.

1. What Chipstack is

Chipstack is a record-keeping tool for private home poker games. It keeps a shared ledger of who bought in, who cashed out, and who ends up owing whom.

Chipstack does not handle money and does not facilitate gambling. No money ever moves through Chipstack. There is no wagering, no game of chance, no prize, no payout and no element of play inside the app. It is a notepad with arithmetic. Any settling up between you and your friends happens between you and your friends, by whatever means you choose, entirely outside this app and entirely your own responsibility.

2. Your responsibility for what you record

The numbers in Chipstack are the ones you and the people you play with typed in. Chipstack does not verify them, cannot know whether they are accurate, and takes no position on whether a debt it displays is genuinely owed. A balance shown in Chipstack is not a legally enforceable obligation created by Chipstack; it is your own record of an arrangement between you.

You are responsible for making sure that what you do with Chipstack is lawful where you are. Gambling laws differ by country and are your concern, not Chipstack's.

3. Your account

4. Communities and what other people see

A community is a group of people who play together. Everyone in it can see the ledger for the nights they took part in, including your name and the amounts recorded against you. That is the point of a shared ledger, and you should not use Chipstack if you do not want that.

Community owners can remove members, delete rooms, and transfer ownership. If an owner deletes their account, ownership passes automatically to another member with an account; if there is none, the community and its history are deleted.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Chipstack to harass anyone, to record content that is unlawful, or to run anything that is a commercial gambling operation. Do not attempt to break into the service, scrape it, or disrupt it for others.

7. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Security → Delete account. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what happens to your data.

Access may be suspended or removed where there is a serious or repeated breach of these terms. Where it is reasonable to warn first, you will be warned first.

8. No warranty

Chipstack is provided as it is. It is maintained by one person. It may contain mistakes, may be unavailable, and may lose data despite reasonable care. It is not a bank, not an accounting system, and not a system of record for anything that matters financially. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Chipstack is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for money owed between you and the people you play with, or for any dispute about who owes what. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Changes

These terms may change. The effective date at the top changes with them, and the app will say so when a change affects you. Continuing to use Chipstack after that is acceptance.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
